Loungeteer is

A pocket-sized magazine for home-educated instead of home-educators. (Though we can publish articles by educators.)

Why

More than entertainment: Loungeteer should be a learning experience. The intention is for other home-educated to be included in the production, as well as participating by simply contributing articles, artwork, photography, and so on – thus stimulating creative abilities. :)

When

Loungeteer publishes 4 times a year. Because of several problems, issue #1 (spring) was released very late, consequently the ‘summer’ issue will be skipped, pushing issue #2 to fall. To compensate, the fall issue will be released slightly early. Deadline for the next issue is July 31. Have fun!

Meaning of Loungeteer

Loungeteer is a fancier version of lounger, to say that home education is more relaxed than traditional education. (As a more fascinating word than ‘home-schooler’.)

Please Note

Loungeteer is experimental – on the release of issue #4, if there is enough interest, the publication will continue. However, if there is not enough interest, Loungeteer will be terminated.
